Congratulations to Corryn Grayston, new Board Chair, and Tennile Lachmuth, the new Vice Chair!
At a Special Board of Education meeting on November 5, 2024, Grayston was elected Chair of the Kwsaltktnéws ne Secwepemcúl'ecw School District No. 83 Board of Education, with Tennile Lachmuth elected as Vice Chair.
Outgoing Chair Amanda Krebs will be the trustee representative on the B.C. School Trustees' Association (BCSTA) with Lachmuth as alternate.
Trustee Brent Gennings will continue as the Board's representative on the B.C. Public Sector Employers' Association (BCPSEA), with Trustee Marianne VanBuskirk as the alternate.
All positions were filled by acclamation.
The Board's next regular meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the District Education Support Centre (DESC). This meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed.
