Rocky View Schools' (RVS) Superintendent of Schools Greg Luterbach is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Rankin as Principal of Meadowbrook Middle School, effective August 2018.

Currently the Assistant Principal of Springbank Community High School, Rankin has served the jurisdiction since 2010, when he climbed on board with George McDougall as a teacher. In 2013, his innovative nature helped to establish the first of two Building Future Programs - an off-campus program where students build houses while earning a variety of credits, including all their core subjects. In 2014, Rankin moved into the role of Assistant Principal at George McDougall and in 2015 joined the leadership team at Springbank Community High School.
Rankin holds a Master of Education from the University of Calgary, a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. In 2015, he also completed RVS' Administrative Leadership Program.
