WESTWIND SCHOOL DIVISION
WSD Appoints New Learning Coach

September 12, 2022

Westwind School Division is pleased to announce that Carley Taylor has been selected as a new Learning Coach within the division. In this new role, Carley will work cooperatively with central office administration, principals, and teachers to strengthen and support the implementation of the new K-6 curriculum and literacy and numeracy efforts.

Carley holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge with a major in Mathematics. A teacher since 2015, Carley has worked in all three Cardston Schools, but her current teaching assignment is teaching Math 6 at CJHS. She has been heavily involved in the Westwind Numeracy Committee and spent the last year collecting, organizing and creating literacy and numeracy resources that are currently housed on our staff websites.

Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services Rob Doig is confident that Carley's work will have a positive impact on students. "Westwind is excited to have Carley in this position to support teachers with literacy, numeracy, and curriculum implementation," he says. "Her expertise will benefit the students, teachers, and schools in our division."

Carley is looking forward to collaborating with division and school leaders, students, and families to help meet the needs of a wide variety of students needs. She is married to Grady and is mom to Isla (7), Emory (4) and Oaklyn (1). In her spare time, she loves mountain biking and spending time with her family.

Congratulations to Carley on her new role!
