Mr. Aaron DeRoo is an experienced K - 8 Physical Education teacher at St. Augustine School in Brandon. This well-respected educator promotes healthy living, athletics, and positive student relationships. Aaron's extensive planning and willingness to implement fun, innovative and challenging physical activities in his gymnasium, speaks to his fervent commitment to a quality physical education program for all his students.
For several years, Aaron also has served as the coordinator for the Brandon School Division Middle Years Track and Field Meets for Grade 4-8 athletes. These annual city track meets are known for being models of efficiency and organization. Additionally, Aaron coaches the soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton and track and field teams at St. Augustine School.
Always humble and self-depreciating, Aaron is a very deserving recipient of the Manitoba Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba Westman Regional Recognition Award. Aaron was presented with his award on October 20th at the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame at the Sport for Life Centre in Winnipeg.
