Nominations are now open for the 2023 Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) Recognition and Awards in the following categories:
Student Citizenship Awards (Individual Student & Student Group): The MSBA Student Citizenship Awards Program recognizes outstanding young people throughout Manitoba who are active participants in their communities and schools. These awards recognize students from Manitoba schools who demonstrate their commitment to the values of citizenship through activities such as:
- Volunteer service to the community;
- Involvement in citizenship or character building organizations;
- Participation in student government programs or activities; or
- Leadership ability to motivate others to action to benefit the community.
AMM George Harbottle Award: The Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) will further recognize one of the association's individual award winners by way of the AMM George Harbottle Memorial Award, in recognition of outstanding contributions at the community level. This award consists of $1000.
The AMM George Harbottle Memorial Award focuses specifically on those contributions that a student has made in the greater community, beyond the school walls.
