February 11, 2019 - The Board of Trustees for Mountain View School Division is pleased to announce that Dan Ward has accepted the position of Superintendent/CEO effective July 1, 2019. Mr. Ward has served in the capacity of Assistant Superintendent of Education for MVSD since July of 2015 and has been a dedicated educator for over 23 years. Mr. Ward holds a Master's degree in Education Administration.
Mr. Ward began his teaching career in 1996 and spent 11 years in the classroom at the middle and senior years levels. Following his classroom experience, Mr. Ward spent 5 years as a vice-principal at a school in Winnipeg before moving to a position with the Department of Education, in February of 2012. Mr. Ward is an educator who believes in a school division culture where students can meet their true potential in a supportive, respectful learning environment.
The Board of Trustees would like to congratulate Mr. Ward on his appointment and we look forward to working with him in our effort to provide quality education for the students of Mountain View School Division.
