For half a century Pembina Trails and Winnipeg's sister city in Japan - Setagaya - have participated in student exchanges.
Fourteen students are currently visiting Winnipeg and learning about Canadian culture from their Linden Meadows hosts.
Our Japanese friends learned about the issue of Truth and Reconciliation at an assembly at LM, and they even got to do some Indigenous dancing. This was just one of many cultural experiences they will be exposed to during their week in Winnipeg.
In 2025, the host students from LM will travel to Setagaya for the return portion of this exciting and educational exchange.
