SRSD Announces Leadership Appointments

Seine River School Division believes that strong leadership in our schools is essential to the success of our students. Our division also invests heavily in the growth of our exceptional educators providing numerous experiences to prepare them for new challenges. We are pleased to announce the following administrative appointments.

Nichole Borkowsky - Director of Student Services
We are pleased to announce that Nichole Borkowsky will be Seine River School Division's new Director of Student Services. Nichole is an experienced educator and has worked in Seine River School Division since August 1997. She has been a classroom teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher, Resource Teacher, Vice-Principal and most recently she led Arborgate School as its Principal. Nichole will be responsible for student services, working in early literacy, early childhood learning, student success planning, student transitions, professional learning, collaborating with resource teachers, guidance counsellors and clinicians. She will work under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.


Raffaele Borelli - Numeracy Consultant
Raffaele has 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher and 5 years as a Vice Principal. He is very passionate about reaching every student and providing students with the appropriate resources, modelling and opportunities to improve. He is a two-time recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award' presented by the University of Manitoba. As Numeracy Consultant, Raffaele will be a valuable asset to our division as he supports our teachers going forward.


Lori Gauthier - Interim Principal Collège St. Norbert Collegiate
Lori is a highly energetic and intelligent educator who has demonstrated tremendous success supporting teachers in their personal growth. She has over 20 years experience as an effective classroom teacher, a literacy consultant, instructional coach and has been a vice-principal in both K-8 and high school settings. Lori is an extremely motivated and collaborative educator, her expertise in developing strong literacy programs will directly benefit the staff and students.

Kayleigh Sieffert - Vice Principal Collège St. Norbert Collegiate
Kayleigh's experience ranges from classroom teacher, Learning Support teacher, Alternative Education/Resource and most recently as Instructional Coach. These experiences coupled with her willingness to learn and develop as a professional & her dedication and passion for education will provide the building blocks for her to grow into her new role as vice principal.

Cindy Mason - Interim Principal La Barrière Crossings School
Cindy has been an employee of Seine River School Division since 2009. She has experience as a classroom teacher, as Instructional Coach and Vice Principal at Ste Anne Collegiate, and most recently as Vice Principal at La Barrière Crossings where she has demonstrated her willingness to increase her knowledge and understanding the role and responsibilities of a school Administrator. During her time at SAC & LBC, Cindy has worked hard to cultivate strong relationships with staff, students, parents and the community. These values combined with her experience will ensure the success of all those connected to the La Barrière Crossings School community.

Derek Marvin - Interim Principal Parc La Salle School
Since 2006, Derek has attained EY & MY classroom teacher, Resource teacher, Reading Recovery, Literacy Consultant and Vice Principial experience. He believes in school cultures that prioritize collaboration, teamwork and promote a growth mindset in the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning. Derek has been creative and successful in implementing programming that is tailored to the specific needs of each student. His leadership experience within our division and at Parc La Salle has contributed to the well-being and academic success of our students.


Paul Grosskopf - Interim Vice Principal École St. Adolphe School
As learning support teacher, Paul has played a critical role in co-creating rich, equitable and inclusive school and classroom environments that are responsive to students' strengths and needs. Over the years he has prepared authentic, rich and differentiated lessons for all core subject areas at both the early and middle year levels. Paul's experience includes classroom & physical education teacher, Reading Apprenticeship, Learning Support Teacher and acting Principal. Paul's commitment to teamwork, collaboration, strong work ethic & enthusiasm for continued learning will be an asset to École St. Adolphe School.


Todd Long - Principal Arborgate School
Todd believes that quality relationships and inclusive practices can provide all students with the opportunity to grow, excel and achieve their goals both personally and academically. He started in 1999 as a classroom teacher then as Vice Principal at Dawson Trail School & Arborgate School. He moved on to become the Principal responsible for Student Services for grades JK-12 in the Pinawa School Division. His passion for learning and previous experience will be an asset to the Arborgate School community. We welcome him back to the Seine River School Division community.

Allison Tchir - Interim Vice Principal Arborgate School
As both a certified classroom teacher and Speech & Language Pathologist, Allison brings a unique skillset & perspective from her 20 years of clinical and classroom teacher experience to the position of Vice Principal. She has a passion for collaboration, inclusive education and strongly believes in data driven decision making. She has worked with school teams to explore their literacy and classroom profile data to determine possible supports to improve student outcomes. Allison's combined experience will ensure the success of all those connected to the Arborgate School community.

Mark Eismendi - Interim Principal Richer School
Mark is an enthusiastic and motivated teacher and leader with a strong growth mindset, constantly striving to improve and build connections with the students, teachers, and school leaders whom he serves. He has combined experience as a K-8 teacher, Instructional Support teacher and Numeracy Consultant. He values and understands the importance of building community, student engagement, collaboration and professional development for teachers. Mark will bring a strong element of collaboration to the Richer School community.
