Five teams took off March 1, 2020, for an hour of thrills and spills around the skiing track at Windsor Park Nordic Centre. Representatives from Brooklands and Lakewood took part on behalf of the St. James Assiniboia School Division (SJASD). The proceeds from this fundraiser help fund the ski at school program for Winnipeg Schools. Also, as a result of the fundraiser, the schools receive six lessons this winter at Windsor Park Nordic Centre.
The SJASD team represented well, and St. James Assiniboia teachers did the association proud by bringing home with the GOLD medal with 45 laps in one hour to win the challenge.
