University College of the North (UCN) is excited to announce its partnership with the Manitoba Arts Network (MAN).
The partnership will showcase a series of travelling art exhibitions at the Thompson and The Pas Campuses. As a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Manitoba's diverse arts and cultural scene, MAN will collaborate with UCN over the next two years to bring a variety of art installations to UCN campuses.
"These exhibitions will showcase Manitoba artists' rich talent and creativity, providing our students, faculty, staff, and communities with unique opportunities to engage with and appreciate the arts," said Doug Lauvstad, UCN President and Vice-Chancellor. "We invite everyone to visit our campuses and explore the changing exhibitions over the next two years."
The partnership will also bring a professional brass ensemble to The Pas and Thompson campuses. The musical group "Buzz Brass" will engage with local high schools and perform for the communities. More details about this event can be found on the UCN website at www.ucn.ca/events.
"As the Manitoba Arts Network steps into a collaborative odyssey with the University College of the North, we eagerly anticipate the unfolding of inspiration, uniting arts and community on the canvas of everyday life," said Rose-Anne Harder, Executive Director, Manitoba Arts Network. "This partnership promises to cultivate a shared appreciation for the arts, enriching the lives of UCN's students, faculty, staff, and local communities."
In The Pas, the art exhibition is located on the main floor on the West wing of campus. In Thompson, you can find the exhibition on the second floor.
