The passage of the Education Reform (2018) Act on March 9 will result in some changes that will take effect on April 1, 2018.
On this date, the Halifax Regional School Board will be officially renamed the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. Elwin LeRoux's title will also change from Superintendent to Regional Executive Director of Education.
The change in names will also be reflected on the HRSB website and Twitter account, although the addresses and logos will remain in place for now. There will be no changes to email addresses at this time.
