Here is a story that really tends to standout...
Considering our small student population, not only locally, but also our overall student population in Saskatchewan as compared to other Provinces like Ontario or Quebec, this is an achievement we, as a school and a Division, should be proud of.
Dallas Schutz, a Welding student at the Melville Comprehensive School (MCS) beat the odds. He not only brought home a Gold medal at the Skills Canada Provincial Welding competition in Regina, but also moved on to represent Saskatchewan at the Skills Canada National Welding Competition in Moncton, New Brunswick in June.
Dallas again brought home the Gold, earning him the title of Top Secondary Welder in Canada. This goes to show you that hard work and perseverance pay off.
Congratulations Dallas!
