Teacher France Frenette-Lecours, Receives 2023 Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence

On this World Teachers' Day, the Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) congratulates École publique Passeport Jeunesse teacher France Frenette-Lecours, recipient of the 2023 Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence.

"The CSPNE is very proud to see Ms. Frenette-Lecours recognized for her commitment, innovation and achievements within the school community, thus ensuring the well-being and success of all students," says Yves Laliberté, Director of Education at the CSPNE.

For nearly 30 years, the Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence have recognized the excellence of elementary and secondary school teachers in all disciplines.

Ms. France is a true inspiration to students and colleagues alike. Young and old quickly come to understand - in her presence - that anything is possible, and that the opportunities to excel and succeed are boundless.  She is an outstanding teacher, respected by her colleagues and, above all, by her students.

Ms. Isabelle Boucher, Principal of École publique Passeport Jeunesse, recognizes the privilege her school community enjoys in being able to count on Ms. Frenette-Lecours' dedication and leadership. "She is a true role model, accessible to students and staff who - on a daily basis - makes a difference. An ambassador for the French language, Ms. Frenette-Lecours is a champion of andragogy and a reliable reference appreciated by all.  An exemplary leader, Ms. Frenette-Lecours devotes her time and energy to organizing educational and special activities at the school.  She is a true gem who knows how to shine and make those around her shine."

Her colleagues agree that wherever Ms. France goes, she exudes enthusiasm and excitement in the face of the responsibilities and tasks entrusted to her.  She always arrives ready to help and contribute to the objectives targeted by the team and collaborates with all staff members to drive forward plans in terms of pedagogy.
