Schumacher Lions Club Donates Ping Pong Table

Michael Harmanmaa, Grade 5/6 Teacher at Pinecrest Public School, teaches eager students the finer points of ping pong.  

A table was graciously donated to the school by the Schumacher Lions Club.  Mr. Harmanmaa noted that the game "focusses a lot on eye hand coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship," and that "It's just something different to get the kids engaged."  

It will also add another activity to the school that seeks to engage students mentally and physically and to help them to develop healthy minds and bodies.  The school will be providing lessons and a league to students interested in learning the game.
