The Roland Michener Secondary School Grade 7 and 8 students were busy at work during the month of November with their Choose Your Adventure (CYOA) Community Projects class.
Their partnership with EACOM Timber Corporation continued, in which it enabled the class to construct eight park benches that were distributed to facilities around the city.
This year's recipients included Extendicare Timmins, the Timmins Golden Manor Home for the Aged, Spruce Hill Lodge, and one is proudly displayed in the lobby of the District School Board Ontario North East office in Schumacher.
The Community Projects component of the Choose Your Own Adventure program allows students to work towards using design and technology to give back to various sectors of our local community.
