The Durham District School Board announced that is has a reached a new agreement with the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) Occasional Teachers bargaining unit. The DDSB Board of Trustees and the bargaining unit have ratified the agreement.
"This agreement underscores our recognition of their valuable contributions and our shared commitment to maintaining a supportive and collaborative educational community," said Christine Thatcher, Chair of the DDSB Board of Trustees. "Occasional teachers play a vital role in our schools, providing essential support to ensure continuity in learning."
Demonstrating ongoing dedication for students and educators alike, this agreement strengthens the foundation for student achievement.
"The ETFO Durham Occasional Teachers Local is pleased to announce our members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of ratifying our 2022-2026 tentative agreement," said George Taylor, President, ETFO Occasional Teacher Unit.
