The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) has been ranked 2nd in the 2022 Top Energy Performing School Boards Report: Sustainable Schools!
Since 2007, Sustainable Schools has worked with school boards across Canada to build the knowledge and practice of energy efficiency and conservation. The Top Energy Performing School Boards Report is released annually to analyze the energy use of Ontario's 5000+ schools in 72 school boards.
Sustainable Schools provides insights and identifies key opportunities for greenhouse gas emission reductions that have high social, environmental and economic impact, that lead to a return on investment.
By ranking in the top 10 over many years, and 2nd overall in this most recent 2022 report, HCDSB has established itself as one of the most energy efficient school boards in the province, and the most energy efficient board in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for the second consecutive year in a row!
