The St. Thomas Aquinas SAINTS have done it again! After traveling to Red Lake for the NorWOSSA Championships, the SAINTS brought home gold in all four divisions, marking an exceptional achievement for the school's athletic program.
The Junior Girls Basketball team started the winning streak by defeating the Northern Lake Lightening, followed by a victorious Senior Girls Basketball team match against the Red Lake Rams. The Senior Boys Basketball team then kept the momentum going, securing another win over the Red Lake Rams, and the Junior Boys Volleyball team wrapped up the day with a strong performance against the Northern Lake Lightening.
As a result of these impressive victories, both the Senior Girls and Senior Boys Basketball teams have qualified for the NWOSSAA Championships. The Senior Girls will travel for their games, while the Senior Boys will host at St. Thomas Aquinas next Thursday and Friday, November 14th and 15th, with their schedule and opponents to be announced.
Reflecting on the SAINTS' success, Athletic Director Megan Derouard said, "What an amazing day for our student athletes and coaches - winning all four divisions doesn't happen very often. I am beyond proud of the continued success of the Athletic Program here at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and the incredible work of our coaches who time and time again develop winning teams."
