On behalf of the Board and Administration, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kelly Forbes to the position of Principal of St. Michael's School. Kelly brings 14 years of educational experience to The Northwest Catholic School Board, as a Teacher at both The Northwest Catholic District School Board and the Rainy River District School Board.
Kelly taught at both St. Patrick's School in Atikokan and St. Michael's School. She recently was the principal of Donald Young School and Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program with the Rainy River District School Board. She has many years of experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher and a Special Education Administrator.
Throughout her career, Kelly has strived to make all students' educational experience a positive one. Her belief in setting high expectations for all students has supported all of them in reaching their full potential. Kelly's expertise and knowledge in the area of Special Education is outstanding.
