The Northwest Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the award of playground equipment improvement tenders at Sacred Heart School and St. Patrick's School to Playgrounds-R-Us, funded with Ministry of Education School Condition Improvement and School Renewal funding. The funding will be used to update and improve the playground structures at both schools prior to September 2018.
Superintendent of Business, Seija Van Haesendonck, said, "The new playground designs reflect input from parents and staff at both schools, and we are excited to provide engaging playgrounds that offer a variety of physical challenges, creative play spaces and sensory experiences to the children within the community."
Director of Education, Brendan Hyatt, said, "These improvements reflect the strong partnership that exists between the Board and our school communities and will support our students as they play, learn and explore in these new outdoor spaces."
