ST CLAIR CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
Director of Education announces changes to principal and vice principal assignments for September 2016

March 24, 2016

Director of Education Dan Parr has announced changes to the principal and vice principal assignments, effective September 2016. The reassignments are due, in part, to the announced retirements of Mona McKeown, Principal of St. Peter Canisius Catholic School, Watford and Kerry Matthyssen, Principal of Georges P. Vanier Catholic School, Chatham.

"Although retirements are often the catalyst for changes in assignment, both the tenure and career path of our principals and vice principals are reviewed on a regular basis, which also results in movement," says Mr. Parr. "As an organization, St. Clair Catholic is richly blessed with solid and capable Catholic leaders, who will bring to their new school communities their many unique gifts and abilities."

The principal appointments are:

1. Christine Lambert, Principal, Sacred Heart Catholic School, Port Lambton to Principal, St. Peter Canisius Catholic School.
2. Americo Todino, Principal, St. Anne Catholic School, Blenheim to Principal, Georges P. Vanier Catholic School.
3. Adrien Gagnier, Vice Principal, St. Anne Catholic School, Blenheim to Principal, Sacred Heart Catholic School, Port Lambton.
4. Stacy Shepley, Vice Principal, Holy Trinity Catholic School to Principal, St. Anne Catholic School, Blenheim.

The vice principal appointments are:

1. Terri Sinasac, Consultant - Elementary Curriculum to Vice Principal, St. Anne Catholic School, Blenheim.
2. Daniella Mancusi, Special Education Itinerant Teacher to Vice Principal, Holy Trinity Catholic School.

"I also want to pay tribute to Mona and Kerry, two outstanding Catholic leaders, who, as teachers, vice principals and principals, have been important figures in the lives of many young people and their families," says Mr. Parr. "They have also blessed us with their leadership and their example and we will greatly miss their experience and support. But most of all, we will miss their friendship and we wish them both happy retirements filled with God's abundant blessings and His goodness!"
