Elaine Lewis, the Coordinator of the Ontario Student Nutrition Program for Chatham-Kent is retiring after nearly 30 years of work to bring healthier foods to students.

Mrs. Lewis was publicly thanked at a reception recently hosted by the Lambton Kent District School Board, St. Clair Catholic, Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence and Chatham-Kent Public Health.
"Your tireless efforts to bring healthy food to children has been greatly appreciated - not only by our students and families - but also by our teachers and principals, who see first hand the benefits of the great work that you do," says Dan Parr, Director of Education for St. Clair Catholic. "On behalf of all of us, thank you."
In addition to her work with the Student Nutrition Program, Mrs. Lewis has also been a long-time volunteer in Chatham-Kent, serving many, many organizations.
"My motto has always been that service is the rent we pay for taking up space in God's world," she says.
