A unique ceremony was held to highlight the efforts of 25 outstanding PW Sims business program students from CEGEP Champlain - St. Lawrence. They completed a high-level training in accounting and income tax for individuals.
This 8-hours training extended over several weeks and was provided by specialists from BDO Canada - a world recognized, multinational accounting firm. With their newly earned knowledge, these students will be able to do the accounting for businesses as well as provide income tax services to individuals.
With more than 18 years of experience in assurance and accounting, Mr. Yanick Santoire is well placed to teach future accountants. He said that it was a first training of this type and that attending students had great talent.
One of the PW Sims business program teachers, Mr. Paul Bleau, helped the students through the process and thinks that the added value of BDO Canada is helping the economy as well as employers.
