The Board of Governors and its Chair, Jacob Burns, are pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Jean-Philippe Caron to the position of Director General of Champlain Regional College. He will take office on October 15, 2024.
Jean-Philippe Caron has acquired solid experience in operational and strategic management while working in complex and very diverse government organizations. He also holds a master's degree in public administration from ENAP (École nationale d'administration publique).
Passionate and committed, he joins Champlain Regional College after ten years as Director General, Corporate Security and Chief Postal Inspector at Canada Post Corporation where he was recognized for his efforts in preparing future leaders within the organization and in developing talent and institutional knowledge.
In addition, with 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Army Officer, he has acquired a vast experience and knowledge in the field of organizational resilience and operational management. Combined with his experience as a senior executive he has proven to be able to adapt management practices to meet the realities and dynamics of the organizational environment.
Recognized for the quality of his inter-organizational relationships, his arrival constitutes an undeniable asset for Champlain Regional College and its constituent college to continue the ongoing initiatives.
