The Loran Award funds promising youth in Canada who show strength of character and a commitment to service in their communities, challenging them to fully realize their leadership potential.
Valued at more than $100,000, the Loran Award includes:
- Study at any of our 25 partner universities with an annual $11,000 stipend and up to $11,000 in tuition waiver, per year, to enable scholars' capacity and availability to engage with and contribute to their new communities
- A comprehensive, thoughtfully-developed leadership enrichment program including;
- An orientation experience;
- A one-on-one mentorship program with a business or community leader;
- Up to $14K in funding for experiential learning through work placements across the public policy, enterprise, and community development sectors;
- Immersive learning in different parts of Canada and abroad;
- Annual retreats and scholar gatherings for high-potential youth to interact and learn from one another;
- Membership in a life-long community of values-driven individuals working toward a better country and world.
