FRENCH FOR THE FUTURE
Ottawa to welcome 35 young people to the 2025 Forum of Young Ambassadors

April 4, 2025

The Forum National des Jeunes Ambassadeurs (FNJA), French for the Future's flagship program, officially opens its registration for the 2025 edition, to be held this year from August 3 to 8 in Ottawa, the nation's capital. The program, which is aimed at Grade 10 and 11 high school students from across the country, is designed to nurture their love of the French language and the Francophonie, while developing their sense of leadership and initiative.

Registration is now open to become a French for the Future ambassador and be part of the 2025 cohort. Applications will be accepted until May 6, 2025.

From August 3 to 8, 2025, the 35 young people selected will gather on the University of Ottawa campus. They'll experience a complete immersion in French, punctuated by activities, games, workshops and much more. The young participants emerge from the program transformed, enriched by unforgettable experiences, new friendships and a deep desire to get involved in their community.

In a minority context, young ambassadors play an essential role in spreading the Francophonie across the country. By participating in this event, they acquire tools and experiences that inspire them to give back to their communities and make a real difference. French for the Future looks forward to welcoming committed young people from across the country to celebrate the richness of the Francophonie together.
