SUNCREST COLLEGE
Over $160,000 in scholarships awarded to more than 100 Suncrest students

April 12, 2024

Over 120 Suncrest College students are walking a little lighter following two major Internal Scholarship events held in the back-half of March.

2024 was Suncrest College's first Internal Scholarship campaign event, with two celebrations held at the Tisdale campus on March 15, and at Yorkton's Trades & Technology Centre, held on March 28. In total, over $160,000 was awarded to students across the Suncrest region.

"The College is so proud to offer programs such as the Internal Scholarship campaign. Not only does it give these students something to work towards during their academic years, but also it is an opportunity to reward students going the extra mile for their education," said Suncrest College Vice President, Academics & Learner Engagement, Teri Thompson.

Suncrest's Internal Scholarships would not be possible without the help of many generous donors from across the region. From Rural Municipalities and communities to corporations and non-profits, the campaign benefits from a variety of donors, as well as the Ministry of Advanced Education, which matches the majority of donations from private and public donors.

Suncrest College is now turning its attention to the upcoming Entrance Scholarships, which open on April 10. New students are eligible for their opportunity to earn entrance scholarships by applying on SuncrestCollege.ca.
