SUNCREST COLLEGE
Suncrest College awards scholarships at special events

April 4, 2025

Nearly 150 awards were handed out in the 2025 Suncrest College Scholarship program, totaling over $280,000.

The scholarships were awarded during two special events in both Tisdale and Yorkton, with Yorkton's awards held Tuesday and Tisdale awarded on March 13.

The awards ranged from between $500 and $3,000, from donors from across the Suncrest College region.

"We are incredibly grateful to our generous donors whose support makes these scholarships possible," said Teri Thompson, Vice President of Academics & Learner Engagement at Suncrest College. "Their contributions directly impact our students, helping to ease financial barriers and empowering them to focus on their education and future success."

Scholarships were awarded to students in a variety of Suncrest College programs, recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful contributions to the communities where they study and live.

Suncrest Scholarships would not be possible without the help of the generous donors from across the region. From Rural Municipalities and communities to corporations and non-profits, the campaign benefits from a variety of donors, as well as the Ministry of Advanced Education, which matches most donations from private and public donors.

Suncrest College now turns its focus to its Entrance Scholarship awards for Fall 2025, with a new $3,000 guaranteed entrance scholarship for eligible students that have an average of 90 per cent or higher. Additional scholarships are available, and students can apply up until April 30th at SuncrestCollege.ca.
