Between April 2022 - June 2022, Let's Talk Science will be facilitating a series of three LIVE STEM broadcasts to classrooms across Canada. These co-learning broadcasts are embedded professional learning opportunities for educators to learn alongside their students. In addition to supporting reflective teacher practice, the broadcasts also provide pre- and post-learning opportunities for the educators as a way to extend student learning between broadcasts that are connected to the Let’s Talk Science learning pathways.
Co-learning broadcasts for K-3 and Grade 4-6 have been tailored to complement Tomatosphere, an out-of-this-world science experiment that investigates the effects of space on the germination of tomato seeds. Activities for all grades will include the modelling of a variety of learning strategies as well as suggestions on how to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into the classroom.
