Between April 2022 - June 2022, Let's Talk Science will be facilitating a series of three LIVE STEM broadcasts to classrooms across Canada. These co-learning broadcasts are embedded professional learning opportunities for educators to learn alongside their students. In addition to supporting reflective teacher practice, the broadcasts also provide pre-and post-learning opportunities for the educators as a way to extend student learning between broadcasts that are connected to the Let’s Talk Science learning pathways.
The Grade 7-9 broadcasts have been tailored to complement the Clothing4Climate action project which aims to teach students about climate change through the lens of clothing. Activities for all grades will include the modelling of a variety of learning strategies as well as suggestions on how to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into the classroom.
