TYPE OF HIRING
Temporary Part-time (specific project until May 2025 with possibility of extension)

WORK SCHEDULE
25 hours per week
Tuesday to Friday from 5pm to 10pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 5pm. (schedule subject to modification every semester: fall/winter/summer)

SALARY
$23.24 per hour

SUMMARY
We are seeking to hire a Sociocultural and Sports Activities Monitor to join our team at Cégep Heritage College. Reporting to the Coordinator of Student Affairs, this position plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall students and users experience by monitoring all activities including external rental events during evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a vibrant community and will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITY
Oversight of Students and Users

  • Oversee execution of sociocultural and sports activities for students and external clients, ensuring oversight for a range of diverse and engaging events offered at the College.

Event Management

  • Facilitate logistics for events.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Enhance the overall experience with internal and external clients.

Supervision of Facility Usage

  • Monitor and supervise student activities including those engaging in informal study or utilizing campus facilities for various purposes.
  • Collaborate with campus security and relevant departments to maintain a secure and welcoming space for all users.
  • Oversee equipment usage by groups, ensuring what is being used has been requested and is returned in good working order.

Feedback and Assessment

  • Collect and share feedback from participants to continuously improve the quality and relevance of sociocultural or sports activities.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the proper authority.

If need be, perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a secondary school diploma (DES) in an appropriate specialty, or an attestation recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
  • Must have proven experience in event facilitation and supervision.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be bilingual in both French and English.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to different situations.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Must be diligent, dynamic, creative and detail oriented.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and exercise discretion.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
Salary & Benefits

SALARY
$23.24 per hour
