Description
The school community of the Ecole Notre-Dame-des-Vertus school, in Zenon Park is looking for a candidate who is able and ready to take on the part-time work of 50% janitorial and maintenance of the school. Reporting to the Chief Custodian, the Caretaker is responsible for cleaning the school and interior and exterior maintenance, as well as providing support to school staff. To this end, this person must have a good knowledge of the maintenance and cleaning of buildings. The Caretaker performs tasks such as: floor maintenance, sanitary maintenance, cleaning of dining rooms, disinfecting surfaces, snow removal of access sidewalks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in janitorial services (in a school - an asset);
- Know how to operate, program and maintain certain small janitorial tools and equipment;
- Knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing and building safety (an asset);
- Know how to mix and use cleaning products and/or be able to take SIMDUT / WHMIS training;
- Be comfortable with the use of computers, the MS suite, Gmail email;
- Be organized and know how to manage your time according to priorities and circumstances;
- Be able to communicate in French and English;
- Provide a criminal record report, including a vulnerable sector check when hired.
