It was with great pride that the Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) learned on Friday, September 8, that Michel Pagé, Superintendent of Education, was honoured by the Centre culturel Les Compagnons des francs loisirs during the launch of the 2023-2024 program.

Mr. Pagé is the recipient of the "Lou Gagné" Award, presented to an exemplary individual who has played a decisive role as an ambassador for the community organization. The award recognizes the breadth of his commitment and dedication to the Francophone cause, which has certainly contributed to the growth and vitality of the North Bay community.
"We are very happy for Michel that his leadership and involvement in this Nipissing-area organization has been recognized. His Francophone pride and sense of belonging to his community are reflected in everything he does as a superintendent at CSPNE. Our congratulations go out to Mr. Pagé, who deserves this honour," says Yves Laliberté, Director of Education.
In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Hearst, Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls, Timmins, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Parry Sound with quality French-language education. Close to 2,100 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
