The benefits of work-integrated learning (WIL) are well-documented, but for WIL experiences to be considered high quality they must be both accessible and inclusive. HEQCO's fall 2021 survey of students reveals that women, immigrants and students with disabilities are not experiencing the same levels of inclusive, high-quality WIL as others.
Our new data brief examines the differences between demographic groups and the data challenges creating barriers for developing equitable WIL programs. In an accompanying blog post, the authors break down some of the demographic differences and make recommendations for future examinations of WIL.
