The Hanover School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of John Terrick as Principal of Mitchell Middle School, effective September 2025.
John currently serves as both Vice-Principal and Learning Support Teacher at Mitchell Middle School, positions he has held since September 2023. From February to June 2024, he was assigned to Bothwell School as Interim Principal on a temporary basis.
Prior to his current role, John served as Vice-Principal and Learning Support Teacher at Mitchell Elementary School from 2022 to 2023 and from 2016 to 2021, with a year in between in the same capacity at Stonybrook Middle School. John's teaching career also includes 15 years at Mitchell Middle School from 2000 to 2015 and one year at Steinbach Junior High School from 1999 to 2000.
John earned his Bachelor of Education in 1999 from the University of Manitoba.
The Board of Trustees congratulates John on his new appointment and extends their best wishes as he steps into his new role as Principal of Mitchell Middle School.
