Appointment of Ms. Julie Simard to the position of Director of Human Resources

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Julie Simard to the position of Director of Human Resources (DHR), effective July 1, 2025.

With nearly 25 years of pedagogical leadership experience at the CQSB, including five years as a school administrator, Ms. Simard is well acquainted with our organizational culture. Having led numerous innovative projects, she has strengthened her ability to drive strategic initiatives and positively mobilize her teams.

Ms. Simard will succeed Ms. Nancy L'Heureux, who has held the dual positions of Director of Human Resources and Assistant Director General (ADG). Although extremely efficient in her two roles, Ms. L'Heureux welcomes this change with confidence and will to continue to support the department, as it will be among those under her ADG responsibility.

We are confident that Ms. Simard will excel in her new DHR role and that she will ensure the continuity of quality services to all our establishments and the growth and success of our school board's mission.
