Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) is pleased to announce Graham Abbott as the new Principal of Greely Road School, effective August 1, 2025. Mr. Abbott brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for education, making him an exceptional fit for the Greely Road school community.
Mr. Abbott began his educational career with FMPSD at Greely Road School in 2011 and has since built an impressive resume. He served as Principal at Composite High School for four years, followed by two years as Principal at Thickwood Public School. Subsequently, he has led Beacon Hill Public School for the last six years, where he was at the heart of extracurricular activities, including coaching the defending LEGO Robotics Champion team and organizing multiple after-school sports programs.
Mr. Abbott's commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture is evident through his successful implementation of Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at every school he has led. Additionally, his love for the arts shines through in his leadership, inspiring creativity among students and colleagues alike.
