Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) is is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Nicklefork as the newest Human Resources Specialist to join the Division's administrative team. She joins the team on January 6, 2026.
Megan is a proud GYPSD alumna, having been born and raised in Edson and graduating from Parkland Composite High School. Her deep roots in the community and her previous experience in administrative and support roles provide her with a unique perspective and a strong foundation for her new responsibilities.
A 2022 graduate of NorQuest College, Megan is currently further specializing her skills by pursuing a Human Resources Certificate through Mount Royal University.
In her new role, Megan will be instrumental in supporting the Division's core HR functions. Her focus will include:
- Enhancing Employee Relations: Serving as a key point of contact for staff.
- Streamlining Processes: Improving administrative efficiency to better serve the Division.
- Cultivating Culture: Contributing to initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace.

Outside of the office, Megan is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys taking advantage of the local landscape through walking, cross-country skiing, and biking.
