Announced in 2025, the County of Paintearth provides $52,000 annually through the Paintearth County Agricultural Education Grant, which enhances educational opportunities for Clearview students in Grades 7-12. The grant supports Olds College dual credit and extended learning programs, Career and Technology Studies (CTS) courses with an agricultural focus, and scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary education at Olds College.

This year's funding was strategically allocated to enhance learning opportunities as follows:

  • $25,000 to Gus Wetter School (Castor) - Supporting tuition, learning materials, and CTS programs.
  • $25,000 to Coronation School - Supporting tuition, learning materials, and CTS programs.
  • $2,000 to Brownfield School - Funding CTS programs, with the flexibility to support Coronation School's CTS program.

The cheque presentation aligned with discussions at the Local Governance Meeting, which brought together municipal representatives to explore key regional initiatives, including:

  • Designing a Regional Return Bursary Program to attract, support, and retain young talent in the community.
  • Enhancing career pathways for local students through municipal collaboration.
  • Strengthening regional identity to encourage emerging leaders to return and invest in the community.

Clearview Public Schools extends its deep appreciation to the County of Paintearth for its ongoing commitment to education and all municipal leaders for working together to build a stronger future for students and communities.
