Members of the Brock University community gathered to celebrate the rededication of the Rita Welch Meditation Centre on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Operated by the Faith and Life Centre as part of the broader Student Life and Success Department, the Centre serves as a hub for quiet reflection, interfaith dialogue and community connection.

Located next to Sankey Chamber, the Centre has evolved to serve the changing needs of the Brock's inclusive, multi-faith community. It has seen increased usage, expanded programming and a growing diversity of spiritual expressions over time.
The rededication event reaffirmed the University's commitment to holistic student success while celebrating the Centre's continued role as a place of peace, reflection and belonging on campus. It also honoured the legacy of the late Rita Welch and the enduring generosity, vision and support of the broader Welch family, who were in attendance to mark the occasion.
