Long Term Employees Recognized

June 21, 2024

District employees celebrating twenty and thirty years of service were recognized by the District prior to the SD83 Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, held at the District Education Support Centre (DESC).


Those who were present to receive their awards were (from left): Stephanie Richards (30 years) secretary in charge at Jackson, Shelley Heggenstaller (30 years) Secretary in Charge at M.V. Beattie, Jodi Garries (30 years) Principal at Hillcrest, Patti Lemaire (20 years) Principal at Len Wood, Dave Ramsey (30 years) Teacher and Career Coordinator at Salmon Arm Secondary, Chelsea Prince (20 years) Director of Instruction, and Brenden Majerech (20 years) Music Teacher at Pleasant Valley Secondary.

Assistant Superintendent Michelle Guillou expressed that it was her honour to present these significant milestones. "We are so proud to have you on our team and offer our congratulations on achieving this anniversary with us. We recognize and appreciate all of the hard work and effort that you have put into the School District for our students, families, and staff and truly appreciate your dedication over the years. We thank you for being such a valuable member of our team and wish you the best for continued success. Loyal and dedicated employees like you are the foundation to any successful school district. Thank you for your contributions."
