The world is facing unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19 and students are no exception. The pandemic has resulted in a disruption of academic life for the majority of post-secondary students and those looking to further their education face a whole new set of challenges.
University Canada West (UCW) is introducing the Pathway to Knowledge Bursary, valued at 30 credits ($17,400), to help international undergraduate students in bachelor's degree programs reach their potential in these uncertain times.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 we've been listening to our students and partners from around the world to better understand the challenges they are facing. It's been heartbreaking for us to learn that students' hopes and dreams have been shattered by the pandemic.
Students from around the world have been planning to come to Canada for their university education. Those students and their families have been working tirelessly to realize this dream and now they are facing new challenges since many programs have been delayed, postponed or even cancelled as huge swaths of the world-wide economy shut down due the pandemic.
Education is not only a door to a better life and a successful career, but it is a path to building better communities and a better world. At University Canada West, we understand the value of good quality education and we want to help students reach their dreams.
With that goal in mind, the Pathway to Knowledge Bursary for international undergraduate students will help ease their financial strain and start them on their post-secondary academic journey.
The bursary is available to international students pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Communication degree starting in the Winter (January) 2021 Term.
Students at University Canada West can pursue a BCom or BA in Business Communication degree at the business and technology-focused university in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Students can choose to study online or take part in our blended learning program, which includes online resources and lessons as well as limited on-campus classes.
