In celebration of SDG Week Canada, Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is pleased to launch the latest edition of its SDG toolkit. The updates include 11 new case studies from nine colleges and institutes, showcasing the innovative ways they incorporate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across keys areas of postsecondary education, including academics, student life and campus communities, applied research, infrastructure, internationalization, finance, and governance.
CICan's SDG Toolkit for Canadian Colleges and Institutes is a practical guide to the SDGs made available to all post-secondary institutions as an open educational resource (OER). Developed with support from the McConnell Foundation, it is regularly updated and includes valuable information about the SDGs, tips on how to implement them in post-secondary contexts as well as best-practices and resources from member institutions.
This latest version of the toolkit includes updates from Vancouver Island University, Langara College, Collège Ahuntsic, Selkirk College, Nova Scotia Community College, New Brunswick Community College, Confederation College, Canadore College and Fanshawe College.

This latest edition of the SDG Toolkit is a testament to their innovation," says CICan President and CEO, Denise Amyot. "We hope that others in postsecondary will use this resource to advance the SDGs on more campuses across the country, and that others beyond will be inspired to take their work even further."
