NOVA SCOTIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Domestic tuition rates for Ukrainian students

June 23, 2023

Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) announced that eligible applicants from Ukraine who came to Canada under the federal government's Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program will pay domestic tuition rates rather than international fees for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Building upon its existing support for refugees through domestic tuition rates, NSCC has created a streamlined process for individuals who have entered Canada through the CUAET program. This change helps to remove barriers and increases access to education for a community of individuals facing significant challenges. The College warmly welcomes individuals from the CUAET program and encourages them to explore the comprehensive range of programs and services available to support their educational journey.

Jeffery Taylor, Associate Vice President of Applied Research and Innovation at NSCC, says doing this aligns with the College's mission to remove barriers and transform lives. "The CUAET is one of the many special measures the Government of Canada has introduced to support the people of Ukraine. By offering these students domestic tuition rates, we're breaking down barriers and creating a supportive environment where students can thrive and fully experience the positive impact of education."

NSCC is still accepting applications for September 2023. To learn more about our programs and to apply, visit nscc.ca.
