COLLEGE OF NEW CALEDONIA
Gratitude to the Adey Family: Positively Impacting Lives at CNC

May 1, 2024

The College of New Caledonia (CNC) warmly thanks Perry, Cindy Adey, and their family for their heartfelt contributions that significantly benefit our students and faculty. This gesture of support is a tribute to their son, Dillon Adey, a business management student whose life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident in 2009.

The Adeys' generosity has led to the acquisition of supplemental equipment across several departments, enhancing the learning experience in nursing, auto mechanics, millwright, and welding, with additional purchases supporting physical accessibility. This equipment ranges from a suction unit in nursing, to respirators and canisters in welding, and adaptive equipment like classroom audio systems and adjustable worktops, ensuring students find a supportive learning environment that prepares them well for the workplace upon program completion.

In addition to equipment, the proceeds from the Dillon Adey Memorial Cup Annual Golf Tournament have supported 90 students through bursaries and scholarships, making post-secondary education more financially accessible. These contributions have been made possible by the efforts of Perry, Cindy, and their daughter Breanne in hosting the golf tournament every Father's Day weekend.

We are immensely grateful to the Adey family for their enduring support, which not only honors Dillon's memory but also significantly contributes to the success and development of CNC students. Their generosity ensures Dillon's legacy continues to inspire and support our community. More information on this year's 15th Annual Dillon Adey Memorial Golf Tournament can be found here
