Opportunity is knocking, and it's time to open the door to new possibilities!
Okanagan College (OC) is opening the doors to its Salmon Arm campus on Tuesday, January 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. Community members, future learners, and alumni are all welcome to get a peek behind the scenes at OC.
"We want to give everyone in the community the opportunity to experience OC and are calling it Doors Open at OC," explained Alison Gibson, dean of community engagement and careers at Okanagan College. "Everyone is welcome to attend to meet and chat with members of the OC executive and leadership team, tour Salmon Arm campus points of pride, explore our learning spaces including new student housing and find out more about the College."
Attendees will learn about new and existing programs offered locally and across the region, find out about Camp OC interactive summer day camps packed with adventures for kids in grades 1 to 12 and even enter to win tuition vouchers for OC's InspirED (Continuing Studies and Corporate Training) programs and short courses.
"We're eager to meet and welcome members of the community, future learners, future alumni, and even future CampOC campers." said Gibson. "Whether you're looking for a new career path, you are an alumni and you'd like to reconnect, or you simply want a chance to learn what OC is all about, there's something for everyone. It's a chance where you can learn about OC and the College can hear directly from the local community."

Doors Open at OC events are new for 2025 and primarily intended for the community and general public. Each OC campus also hosts formal Open Houses for future learners and students to meet with program instructors and faculty. The OC Salmon Arm future student Open House will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
