NAIT is pleased to announce Mike High as the polytechnic's new Vice-President, Administration and Chief Financial Officer. He will oversee Finance and Corporate Services, Information and Technology Services, Campus Services, Facilities Management and Development, and project management for the Advanced Skills Centre.
With more than 25 years of international experience in private and public sectors, High is a collaborative leader known for talent development and cross-functional teamwork. He most recently served as vice-president of finance at Parkland Corporation, managing finance, accounting, and compliance for the company's operations across Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean.
High's career also includes nearly two decades at Shell, where he held various leadership roles in financial strategy and business partnerships.
A Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Professional (FPAC), High holds a Master of Finance from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from American University. A life-long learner, he is continuing to advance his education at currently Columbia Business School and has completed executive education programs at Harvard and Western Universities.
High has strong ties to Edmonton and looks forward to contributing to NAIT and the local community. He assumes his role at NAIT on Jan. 21, 2025.
