Saskatchewan Polytechnic has received $2 million from the Yuel family toward its Time to Rise campaign in support of the Joseph A. Remai Saskatoon Campus. In recognition, Sask Polytech will establish the Yuel Family Collaborative Learning Space, which will be a gathering and study space for students from all faculties.
Greg Yuel, president and CEO of PIC Investment Group, manages investment decisions, operational activities and the company's growth. PIC Investment Group oversees eight subsidiaries and over 30 minority investments that operate in key sectors of Saskatchewan's economy, including energy, technology, skilled trades, aviation and tourism. PIC Investment Group's operating companies hire Sask Polytech graduates, who play a crucial role in supporting and growing these companies in our local communities.

"The Yuel family is known province-wide for their generosity, humility and dedication to charitable causes," says Dr. Larry Rosia, Sask Polytech president and CEO. "Thank you so much for investing $2 million in our Time to Rise campaign and post-secondary education at Sask Polytech. We are thrilled to create the Yuel Family Collaborative Learning Space. Your philanthropic spirit continues to be an important influence on the City of Saskatoon and province of Saskatchewan."
In addition to bringing students together from different programs in the Yuel Family Collaborative Learning Space, Sask Polytech will recognize PIC Investment Group with ClearTech Industries' logo on water stations at the Joseph A. Remai Saskatoon Campus. ClearTech excels in all aspects of water management, including potable water, water processing, wastewater and steam, and is committed to the responsible distribution of chemicals and keeping our waterways safe and clean.
"Employees and business partners of PIC Investment Group's operating companies, both now and in the future, are more likely to be armed with a Sask Polytech education," says Yuel. "As we move toward robotics in our distribution and manufacturing businesses our packagers become technical equipment operators. Our real estate business relies on skilled trades within our leadership team and among our partners. Our transportation business and our tourism business excel thanks to education offered by Sask Polytech. I appreciate the fact that Sask Polytech is a province-wide institution that is aligned with the needs of industry. It provides relevant education that meets the current demands and future growth requirements of industry. It's through this type of collaboration that we can succeed as a province and I want to be part of that."
The Time to Rise campaign aims to empower Sask Polytech graduates and strengthen the provincial economy. The Remai Saskatoon Campus will consolidate an existing network of decentralized, outdated buildings into a modern, technology-rich learning environment increasing program capacity for more students.
