Students in Lakeland College's bachelor of agriculture technology (BAgTech) program will share their latest practicum reports at Farm 4.0 on April 3 at the Vermilion Regional Centre. The event will also feature a trade show, tech demonstrations, presentations, networking opportunities and farm tours.
"Collectively, the Class of 2026 is exhilarated to witness the growing trends in technology in the agriculture industry and show it off through all our hard work and dedication", says Hali Costain, BAgTech student.
This is the third year for Farm 4.0, which serves to bring together professionals, producers, and current and future leaders in the industry to explore the latest in agricultural innovation. There will be 16 exhibitors onsite, as well as a variety of technology on display and demonstrated. The graduating BAgTech students will present their practicum reports, highlighting their experiences and insights.
Doors for the event open at 8 a.m. with opening remarks at 8:30. The first presentation begins at 8:40 and farm tours and tech demonstrations run throughout the day. Admission is free and all are welcome.
The tradeshow at last year's event featured a total of over 20 companies, showcasing a diverse array of technologies in both livestock and crop sectors.
