Medical Administration students will use LibreMD as part of their program to simulate real-world clinical workflows, gaining critical experience in electronic recordkeeping, appointment scheduling, and patient data management. This hands-on exposure to industry standard software, a Manitoba-based solution to EMR client management, will play a key role in preparing students for seamless entry into the healthcare industry upon graduation.

"This donation helps bolster our commitment to producing job-ready graduates," said Jana Sproule, Chair of Media and Office Technology Programs at Assiniboine College. "LibreMD offers students a practical learning environment where they can build the confidence and technical skills needed in medical offices, hospitals, and clinics. We're incredibly grateful for this partnership and the experiences it will provide for our learners."

In partnering with Assiniboine on this initiative, Ross Gibson, CEO of LibreMD, underscored the company's dedication to both technology and education.

"Our goal with LibreMD has always been to create accessible, efficient tools that support healthcare professionals," said Gibson. "By bringing this software into the classroom, we're giving students the opportunity to become fluent with systems they'll be expected to use in the field. It's about giving them a head start on their careers."

Darcy Bell, Director of Operations at LibreMD, echoed the importance of real-world preparation.

"Workplaces are looking for graduates who are ready to contribute from day one," said Bell. "By gaining early experience with industry-relevant software like LibreMD, students will be better equipped to meet those expectations. We're proud to support Assiniboine College in developing highly skilled, workplace-ready professionals."

Assiniboine College's Medical Administration program, part of the college's Peters School of Business, is designed to reflect the realities of today's healthcare sector, offering students the knowledge and tools necessary for success in their careers.
